Underlying the planning process is our proprietary Equipment and Space Planning (ESP) database. This system allows us to organize, develop, and track the multitude of data about the project all the way from pre-construction through construction administration. Space Planning The project space program must also establish preliminary functional and operational parameters to verify the assessment of space necessary to support each program. Using ESP we can quickly review the space implications of various process/flow models under consideration. This is a highly interactive and iterative process, involving meetings with a broad spectrum of interested parties providing clinical, support, and administrative points of view. In addition to the development of a functional space program, we can quickly develop generic Equipment Reports that we would expect to find in each space. These Equipment Lists are reviewed with Hospital staff to ensure that programmed spaces are large enough to accommodate all desired functions and procedures. |
